Abstract

Kata Kunci : Perspektif, Disintegrasi, Mahasiswa Papua, Gorontalo  ABSTRACTThis paper aims to see how Papuan students' perspectives on the demand for a referendum lead to the process of disintegration of the nation in Papua. The results showed that generally Papuan students in Gorontalo disagreed with these demands. This is because there is no discrimination that they have received while they are in Gorontalo, on the other hand Gorontalo people are very open and accepting their existence with full tolerance among others. The things that are considered by them not agreeing with the referendum demands are 1) in the aspect of education, they have been specially treated by the state through the entrance to higher education and the cost of education they have received, besides that domicile is also a dominant consideration for Papuan students in Gorontalo in the world of education. 2) Equality and the specificity of development policies in Papua make Papuan students in Gorontalo feel that the presence of the state has led to the effects of change for the people of Papua. 3) love and ownership of the state as a determining factor for students not agreeing to the demand for a referendum that leads to the disintegration of the nation. Keywords: Perspective, Disintegration, Papuan Students, Gorontalo
