Tujuan penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar Matematika materi Bangun Datar melalui Penerapan Metode Inkuiri bagi Siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 2 Harjodowo Kecamatan Sukorejo Kabupaten Kendal.  Penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilaksanakan dengan dua siklus dan masing-masing siklus tiga pertemuan. Setiap siklus terdiri atas empat tahapan atau prosedur penelitian. Prosedur penelitian tindakan kelas, yaitu planing, acting, observing, dan feflecting. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa. Hal tersebut diindikasikan dari peningkatan Rata-rata aktivitas belajar siswa siklus 1 sebesar 76,66% (baik) meningkat menjadi 87,00% (baiksekali) pada siklus 2, peningkatan hasil belajar siklus I sebesar 73 dengan ketuntasan belajar individu 66% meningkat menjadi 83 dengan ketuntasan belajar individu 93% pada siklus II. Terbukti bahwa penerapan metode inkuiri mampu meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa. Hendaknya penerapan metode inkuiri menjadi alternatif pilihan guru dalam pembelajaran Matematika.The purpose of this study was to increase the activity and learning outcomes of Mathematical learning material through the application of the Inquiry Method for fourth grade students of SD Negeri 2 Harjodowo, Sukorejo District, Kendal. This classroom action research was carried out in two cycles and each of which had three meetings. Each cycle consists of four stages or research procedures. Classroom action research procedures consist of planning, acting, observing, and observing. The results showed an increase in student activity and learning outcomes. This is indicated by the increase in the average learning activity of students in cycle 1 of 76.66% (good) increased to 87.00% (very good) in cycle 2, the increase in learning outcomes in cycle I was 73 with 66% individual learning completeness increased to 83. with individual learning completeness 93% in cycle II. It is proven that the application of the inquiry method is able to increase student activity and learning outcomes. The application of the inquiry method should be an alternative choice for teachers in learning mathematics.
