One of the manuscripts lontar that suggests the importance of leadership in Hinduism is the manuscript lontar Nitipraya. The contents of the manuscript lontar Nitipraya are important and interesting to be revealed in the context of today's society which is experiencing a leadership crisis. The leadership in this paper is expected to be a model of national and local leadership. This research aims to find out the contents of Hindu teachings about leadership based on texts in Nitipraya ejection. Based on the background of the aforementioned background, the problem to be examined is how is the Hindu leadership model in the text lontar Nitipraya? The text of the Nitipraya contains excellent moral teachings for a leader. The moral teachings contained in the manuscript of the Lontar Nitipraya in addition to being summarized in the Siksakarya doctrine are also supplemented with Pancaksara teachings. This doctrine guides a person, to be free from the calamities and sufferings that come from the five corners (north, east, south, west, and middle). To achieve that goal one must follow the stage of self-approach to God (Sang Hyang Widhi) covering the stages of tapa, Brata, yoga, and Samadhi. These forms of self-approach were essentially a manifestation of human bhakti to his lord. All that was directed to the purpose of human life as the concept of Hindu Dharma, Artha, Kama, and Moksa. If the Soul (atma) man has been able to merge with Brahman or Paramatma (god or Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa) then perfect the human life, according to Hindu concepts and teachings as contained in the Lontar Nitipraya.
