Abstract

Lontar will also provide information on various things including leadership in Hinduism. One of the manuscripts lontar that suggests the importance of leadership in Hinduism is the manuscript lontar Nitipraya. Information about the characteristics of a leader, the characteristics of the leader who is liked by the people/followers or subordinates, and matters relating to leadership, especially in Hinduism, are quite important and need to be known by the community, so research is needed. The contents of the manuscript lontar Nitipraya are important and interesting to be revealed in the context of today's society which is experiencing a leadership crisis. The leadership in this paper is expected to be a model of national and local leadership. This research aims to find out the contents of Hindu teachings about leadership based on texts in Nitipraya ejection. Based on the background of the aforementioned background, the problem to be examined is how is the Hindu leadership model in the text lontar Nitipraya? The text of the Nitipraya contains excellent moral teachings for a leader. The moral teachings contained in the manuscript of the Lontar Nitipraya in addition to being summarized in the Siksakarya doctrine are also supplemented with Pancaksara teachings. This doctrine guides a person, to be free from the calamities and sufferings that come from the five corners (north, east, south, west, and middle). To achieve that goal one must follow the stage of self-approach to God (Sang Hyang Widhi) covering the stages of tapa, Brata, yoga, and Samadhi. These forms of self-approach were essentially a manifestation of human bhakti to his lord. All that was directed to the purpose of human life as the concept of Hindu Dharma, Artha, Kama, and Moksa. If the Soul (atma) man has been able to merge with Brahman or Paramatma (god or Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa) then perfect the human life, according to Hindu concepts and teachings as contained in the Lontar Nitipraya.

Lontar texts that exist in Bali, mostly contain teachings imbued by Hinduism. Throwing as a legacy of ancestors is an important document that contains the concepts of ethical and moral guidance, reference to the order of life in accordance with the norms of the teachings of Hinduism. The texts of cultural heritage also contain various concepts of ancestral thought that are used as guidelines to guide behavior in society.Based on the Lontar Tutur Kumara Tattwa, several important things were obtained as a result of the study as described below. In the intrinsic study/content Lontar Tutur Kumara Tattwa discussed about: matters of life and self-control, about Lord Shiva as Istadewata, about sorga and kamoksan, and about Bhatara Siwa, Bhatara Kumara, and Liberation. In a study of Hindu teachings in the Lontar Tutur Kumara tattwa found several things: the teachings of tattwam asi, the teachings of the tri parisudha and karma phala, the teachings of Dasa Nyama Brata, and the Teachings of Dasa yama Bratha.Lontar Tutur Kumara Tattwa, needs to be further studied applicatively in other fields, both philosophically, pedagogically, and other fields. Related to this, the government; both the central and regional governments should pay special attention to the local wisdom of the Balinese region, which holds many lontar as an ancestral heritage that has a virtue value that can be used to improve human resources. Keywords: Lontar Tutur Kumara Tattwa, Intrinsic Study, Hindu Teachings

Abstract

The use of Balinese language is currently not entirely pure, where its use is mixed with other languages or referred to as code switching or code mixing to facilitate understanding. Usually, speaking in local language (Balinese) is mixed with elements of foreign languages. The opposite can also occur in regional language (Balinese) mixed with foreign language elements. In educated people, it is often that the local language (Balinese) is mixed with elements of Indonesian and English and vice versa, all of these things will contribute to a mutually supporting vocabulary. Based on the background above, there are three problems, namely: (1) What is the process of foreign language adaptation in Balinese?, (2) What is the form of foreign language adaptation in Balinese, and (3) What is the impact of foreign language adaptation in Balinese language? In order to exist as a language of communication, Balinese language cannot only grow and rely on its vocabulary. Therefore, the Balinese language also adapts many foreign languages used in communication following the current developments in globalization. Adaptation of foreign languages in Balinese can be seen from the existence of several processes (Protesis, Epentesis, Paragogue, Afaraesis, Syncope, Apathope, Metathesis, Dissimilation, Assimilation, and Contractions), adaptations in the form of words and those used in sentences, and some impacts caused (positive and negative impacts). Indispensable awareness of the speakers to participate in the preservation of the Balinese language is highly required. Although the Balinese language requires adaptation of foreign languages to develop Balinese language in communicating in this global era, but the term of Balinese language that does exist, must be prioritized in the development of new terms. Keywords: Local languages, Foreign Languages, Foreign language adaptations in Balinese
