Abstract

Kata kunci: Biodiesel, Minyak Jelantah, Jumlah Blade, Nilai Kualitas ABSTRACTBiodiesel is an alternative fuel that is environmentally friendly, has no effect on health and can be used as fuel for motor vehicles. The manufacture of biodiesel uses used cooking oil as a raw material with a KOH catalyst. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the number of blades on the quality of biodiesel produced by used cooking oil including heating value, viscosity, density, flash point, pour point. The variations in the use of the number of blades are 4, 6, and 8 with a stirring process for 1 hour at 100 rpm. The results showed that the variation in the number of blades affected the quality of the biodiesel produced, this is evidenced by the use of the number of blades 8 resulting in a calorific value of 17.46 46 Btu / lb, so there is a difference of 0.28 Btu / lb when compared to the use of the number of blades 4. Keyword: Biodiesel, Used Cooking Oil, Number of Blades, Quality Value
