This study examines the effect of competence on school management and principal performance on virtual leadership of Primary School principals. The independent variables of this study were competence in school management and principal performance. The dependent variable was virtual leadership. The study took place at Tanah Grogot City, Paser Regency East Kalimantan. The study used a multilinear design and a quantitative approach to analyze data. This study recruited 44 principals of Primary Schools in Tanah Grogot City as the participants. Data were collected using an online questionnaire that assessed competence in school management, principals' performance, and the degree of virtual leadership. Results show that competence in school management gives a significant effect on virtual leadership, but principal’s performance does not have a significant effect on virtual leadership. However, both competencies in school management and principal’s performance contribute a significant effect on the capacity of virtual leadership of the primary school principals in Tanah Grogot.
