<![CDATA[Artikel ini menjelaskan tentang fonem dan bunyi segmental dalam bahasaTaliabu di pulau Taliabu, Provinsi Maluku Utara. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskkriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data antara lain wawancara, dokumentasi dan studi pustaka. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah bahwa dalam bahasa Taliabu terdiri atas vocal,konsonan,diftong dan fonotatik. vokal dalam bahasa Taliabu adalah /a/e/i/u/o/ yang berdistribusi dengan konsonan /p/b//t//d/c/j/k//g/f/s//h//m/n/l/r/w/y/ ŋ/kebanyakan hanya melekat pada posisi awal dan tengah. Selain vokal dan konsonan, terdapat juga diftong /au/oi/ou/ dan sistem fonotatik dalam bentuk VKV, KVK, KVKV, KVKVKVV, KVVKata kunci : fonologi, Taliabu Language, bunyi segmental. AbstractThis article aims to describe the phonemes and segmental sounds of Taliabu language in Taliabu Island, North Maluku Province. This research uses descriptive methode, data collection methods and techniques are carried out using interviews, documentation, and literature study.The results of this study indicate that in the Taliabu language there are vowels, consonants, diphthongs and phonotactics. Vowels in Taliabu language, namely / a / e / i / u / o / have complete distribution, can occupy all positions and consonants, / p /, / b /, / t /, / d /, / c /, / j /, / k /, / g /, / f /, / s /, / h /, / m /, / n /, / l /, / r /, / w /, / y /, / ŋ /, mostly only occupy the initial and middle positions. Apart from vowels and consonants in Taliabu, there are also diphthongs / au /, / oi /, / ou /, and the phonotactic system in Taliabu Language is in the form of VKV, KVK, KVKV, KKVKV, KVKVKVV, KVV.Keyword : phonology,taliabu Language, segmental sound.]]>
