This study aims to describe the implementation of learning to write negotiation text using discovery learning method of decision making setting, and to describe the students' ability in writing negotiation text. The research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive method. The subjects in this study were 22 high school class X students. Based on the results of the observer's assessment that 94.64% of teachers were able to carry out learning activities well. Based on the results of the observer's assessment that 96.42% of students were able to follow the learning process of writing negotiating texts well. The results of the research conducted showed that students had difficulty understanding aspects of spelling. The results of the test of the ability to write negotiation text for class X MIPA I high school students got an average final score of 81.79.
