THE EFFECTIVENESS OF TEACHERS’ TUTORING ON STUDENTS LEARNING OUTCOMES ON SOCIAL SCIENCE IN GRADE V AT SDN EMEA IN THE MIDST OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC SITUATION

Abstract

Based on interview with teachers at SDN Emea, the tutoring provided to students was still low. This causes students learning outcomes on social science  in grade V remains low as well. If presented, the low learning outcomes are around 65% of the number of students in grade V SDN Emea. So that learning completeness only reaches 35%. This situation is certainly very concerning and of course very far from expectations this will have an impact on student learning outcomes at the end of learning. The purpose of the study was to determine the effectiveness of teacher guidance in the learning process provided by the teacher on the learning outcomes of fifth grade students in social studies at Emea Elementary School. This type of research is descriptive quantitative, where this research is that the writer provides a clear and detailed description of how the tutoring can have an influence on the learning outcomes of fifth grade students on social studies at Emea Elementary School. The results of hypothesis testing using the t-test at a significance level of 0.05 with db = 54 then the hypothesis (accepted, based on acquisition and rejected. There is a positive influence between the use of tutoring on the learning outcomes of class V students in social studies at Emea Elementary School).
