Abstract

Assessment in the learning process is very important to do, with educators and learners can find out the achievements that have been achieved during the learning process, one of the assessments in Indonesia is authentic assessment. The research method that the author uses is a qualitative research method. This type of research uses library research. That is research by getting reference sources from libraries, such as books, journals. The results showed that assessments at the primary and secondary education levels used a variety of assessment methods tailored to the basic competencies that must be mastered. If authentic assessments applied in primary and secondary education are considered less effective, considering that authentic assessment uses assignments that are quite complicated for elementary and secondary children. While authentic assessment in college is considered more qualified because students are considered able and able to complete tasks or problems in real life.
