Abstract. Indonesia is a country with very diverse marine resources. Among them the potential of salt, but until now Indonesia has not been able to produce salt in accordance with standards so that to meet the needs of industry and consumption is still met by the way of salt imports. This study aims to analyze the role of non-physical factors, namely human factors. The study focused on non-physical factors such as the age, skills and experience of salt farmers. The analysis method used is a multiple regression analysis with variable results of age and skills positively and significantly on salt productivity. While the experience has a significant negative effect on salt productivity. When salt farmers are at a productive age this will greatly help salt production. Physical strength is needed in processing the stages in the manufacture of salt. The skills of salt farmers that include knowledge and ability will be needed so that in the production process in accordance with procedures, and salt production can be abundant. Abstraksi. Indonesia merupakan negara dengan sumber daya laut yang sangat beragam. Diantaranya potensi garam, namun sampai dengan saat ini Indonesia belum mampu memproduksi garam yang sesuai standar sehingga untuk mencukup kebutuhan industry maupun konsumsi masih dipenuhi dengan jalan impor garam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran factor non fisik yaitu factor manusia. Penelitian ini memfokuskan pada factor non fisik yaitu umur, keterampilan dan pengalaman petani garam. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi berganda dengan hasil variable umur dan keterampilan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap produktivitas garam. Sedangkan pengalaman berpengaruh negative signifikan terhadap produktivitas garam. Saat petani garam berada pada umur yang produktif hal ini akan sangat membantu produksi garam. Kekuatan fisik sangat diperlukan dalam mengolah tahapan-tahapan dalam pembuatan garam. Keterampilan petani garam yang meliputi pengetahuan dan kemampuan akan sangat diperlukan agar supaya dalam proses produksi sesuai dengan prosedur, dan hasil produksi garam dapat melimpah.
