<![CDATA[Abstract This research is motivated by the negative impact of the release of genetically modified organism (GMO) on biotechnology products in the healthcare that can cause pollution and damage to the environment, disrupt biodiversity, and even endanger human health. This study aims to analyze and provide a description of the form of legal protection for biotechnology products in the health sector (environmental legal perspective). The result of this normative legal research which uses statute and conceptual approach provide an explanation that legal protection for biotechnology products in the healthcare (environmental law perspective) consists of 2 (two) kinds: first, preventive legal protection in the form of legislation; and second, repressive legal protection in the form of dispute resolution related to the legal protection of biotechnology products in the healthcare (environmental law perspective).  AbstrakPenelitian ini dilatarbelakangi adanya dampak negatif dari pelepasan organisme hasil  modifikasi genetika produk bioteknologi di bidang kesehatan yang dapat menimbulkan pencemaran dan kerusakan lingkungan, mengganggu keanekaragaman hayati, bahkan dapat membahayakan kesehatan manusia. Penelitian ini bertujuan menemukan dan menganalisa serta memberikan uraian mengenai bentuk perlindungan hukum produk bioteknologi di bidang kesehatan (perspektif hukum lingkungan). Hasil dari penelitian yang menggunakan metode yudiris normatif dengan pendekatan perundang-undangan dan konseptual ini memberikan penjelasan bahwa perlindungan hukum produk bioteknologi di bidang kesehatan (perspektif hukum lingkungan) terdiri dari 2 (dua) bentuk yakni pertama, perlindungan hukum preventif berupa pengaturan dalam bentuk peraturan perundang-undangan, dan kedua yakni perlindungan hukum represif berupa bentuk penyelesaian sengketa terkait perlindungan hukum produk bioteknologi di bidang kesehatan (dalam perspektif hukum lingkungan).]]>
