Abstract

___________________________________________________________________This research was aimed to investigate the role of school occupier in implementing the environmentaleducation, to find out students’ level of care towards the environment and to examine thesupplementary and subtractive support of Adiwiyata application. The technique of collecting thedata were observation, interview, documentation and survey. Meanwhile, to analyse the data,researcher employed descriptive percentages and descriptive qualitative. The result of the researchimplied that the school occupier of SMP Negeri 31 Semarang has acted properly in implementingenvironmental education, the student also has high level of care towards the environment in theamount of 65.64. They did manage the eco-friendly infrastructure properly, participate actively inenvironmental activity and complete all learning activity according to the curriculum which is basedon environmental standard. A suggestion that researcher could give to this school is that there shouldbe an evaluation regularly and make the report of the evaluation to find out the weaknesses anddifficulties in the implementation of Adiwiyata to achieve better result. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran warga sekolah dalam menerapkanpendidikan lingkungan hidup, mengetahui tingkat kepedulian siswa terhadap lingkunganhidup dan untuk mengetahui faktor pendorong dan penghambat pelaksanaan adiwiyata.Teknik pengunpulan data berupa: observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi dan angket.Teknik analisis data menggunakan deskriptif persentase dan deskriptif kualitatif. Hasilpenelitian menunjukkan: warga sekolah SMP N 31 Semarang sudah berperan denganbaik dalam menerapkan pendidikan lingkungan hidup, siswa juga memiliki kepedulianlingkungan yang tergolong sangat tinggi sebesar 65,64. Siswa melakukan pengelolansarana prasarana yang ramah lingkungan dengan baik, berpartisipasi aktif dalam kegiatanlingkungan dan melaksanakan seluruh kegiatan pembelajaran dalam kurikulum berbasislingkungan. Dalam pelaksanaan program adiwiyata hendaknya sekolah mengadakanevaluasi secara rutin dan berkala dan membuat laporan hasil evaluasi tersebut agarsekolah mengetahui kendala dan kekurangan dalam pelaksanaan adiwiyata sehinggakedepannya dapat berjalan lebih baik lagi.
