Abstract

This research is about the application of discovery learning methods to improve children's science skills in kindergarten. The research objective is to find out the application of discovery learning methods to the kindergarten children's science skills through a scientific approach. The research method is quasi-experimental. In learning with a scientific approach that involves more children in the use of science skills outside the classroom. Throughout the study, children's learning is based on science skills with a scientific learning approach to determine the effect of science in the application of discovery learning methods that can be compared with a comparison class. The results show that there are class differences by applying the discovery learning method and the kindergarten children's science skills with a comparison class that is 24.64 before giving the method and 29.92 after conducting the research. The application of discovery learning methods to these scientific skills needs to be thoroughly assisted and thoroughly guided.Penelitian ini tentang yakni penerapan  metode discovery learning untuk meningkatkan keterampilan sains anak di TK. Tujuan penelitian yakni untuk mengetahui penerapan metode discovery learning terhadap keterampilan sains anak taman kanak-kanak pada melalui pendekatan saintifik. Metode penelitian yakni metode kuasi eksperimen. Dalam pembelajaran dengan pendekatan saintifik yang lebih melibatkan anak pada penggunaan keterampilan sains di luar kelas. Sepanjang penelitian, pembelajaran anak didasarkan pada keterampilan sains dengan pendekatan pembelajaran saintifik untuk mengetahui pengaruh sains dalam penerapan metode discovery learning dapat dibandingkan dengan kelas pembanding. Hasil terlihat bahwa terlihat dan terdapat perbedaan kelas dengan menerapkan pembelajaran metode discovery learning dan keterampilan sains anak taman kanak-kanak dengan kelas pembandinganya yaitu 24,64 sebelum pemberian metode dan 29.92 setelah dilakukan penelitian. Penerapan metode discovery learning terhadap keterampilan sains ini perlu dilakukan pendampingan dan arahan secara menyeluruh dengan baik.
