<![CDATA[The severity of COVID-19 is influenced by endurance, age, and several comorbid diseases, including hypertension. About 15% of hypertension cases are in COVID-19 cases. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of anxiety of hypertension sufferers before and after health education about the COVID-19 problem. This research was a quantitative research that applies a one group prepost-test design. The sample in this study were 73 hypertensive patients at the Empagae Health Center, Sidrap Regency, which were selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data about anxiety were collected through filling out the Zung-Self Anxiety Rating Scale (ZSAS) questionnaire, then analyzed by paired sample t-test. The results showed that p-value = 0.000, so it was concluded that there was an effect of health education on the anxiety of patients with comorbid hypertension during the COVID-19 pandemic.Keywords: corona virus; health education; hypertension; anxiety ABSTRAK Tingkat keparahan COVID-19 dipengaruhi oleh daya tahan tubuh, usia, dan beberapa penyakit komorbid, di antaranya adalah hipertensi. Sekitar 15% kasus hipertensi terdapat pada kasus COVID-19. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat kecemasan penderita hipertensi sebelum dan setelah edukasi kesehatan tentang masalah COVID-19. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif yang menerapkan one group prepost-test design. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah 73 pasien hipertensi di Puskesmas Empagae, Kabupaten Sidrap yang dipilih dengan teknik puposive sampling. Data tentangkecemasan dikumpulkan melalui pengisian kuesioner Zung-Self Anxiety Rating Scale (ZSAS), selanjutnya dianalisis dengan paired sample t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa p-value = 0,000, sehingga disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh edukasi kesehatan terhadap kecemasan penderita dengan komorbid hipertensi pada masa pendemi COVID-19.
