<![CDATA[The aims of this paper are to describe the form of abolition of sin in the text of Siva Puraana, the comprehension of Hindus about Siva Puraana, as well as the perception of Hindus in Denpasar City about the abolition of sin in Siva Puraana. The word ‘sin’ in Hindu’s terminology is well known as ‘papa’ which appeared and derived from asubha karma (bad behavior) of a human. Siva Puraana describes a lot of short holy texts (sloka) and stories about the abolition of sin by doing a devotion to the God Siva or by listening and reading the Siva Puraana text scripture. This research location was in Vrata Vijaya Ashram. The result of research, in general, was informant declared that sin couldn’t be able to be wiped out, but the possible reason is equaling it by a good behaviour (subha karma), and also all the moral education in Siva Puraana should be understood and implemented in daily life, so human will be exempted from a sin.]]>
