<![CDATA[ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mendorong mahasiswa dalam memilih program studi di Fakultas Ilmu Sosial Universitas Negeri Makassar. Variabel bebas dalam penelitian ini adalah kelompok acuan dan keluarga. Sedangkan variabel terikatnya adalah pemilihan program studi. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa Fakultas Ilmu Sosial Universitas Negeri Makassar angkatan 2019, sedangkan penentuan sampel dari populasi sebanyak 757 dengan taraf kesalahan sebesar 10% adalah sebanyak 88. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dua variabel bebas berpengaruh signifikan pada pemilihan program studi di Fakultas Ilmu Sosial, yaitu faktor keluarga yang memiliki nilai Sig. sebesar 0,000 < 0,05 dan faktor kelompok acuan dinyatakan memiliki pengaruh yang siginifikan pada pemilihan program studi di Fakultas Ilmu Sosial karena memiliki nilai Sig. sebesar 0,037 < 0,05. Kemudian hasil uji F menunjukkan nilai Sig. sebesar 0,000 < 0,05 sehingga dapat disimpulkan kedua faktor yakni kelompok acuan dan keluarga secara bersama-sama berpengaruh signifikan terhadap pemilihan program studi.Kata kunci : faktor kelompok acuan, faktor keluarga, memilih program studi ABSTRACTThis study aims to determine the factors that encourage students to choose a study program at the Faculty of Social Science, State University of Makassar. The independent variable in this research is the reference group and family. While the dependent variable is the selection of the program of study. The population in this research is all students of the Faculty of Social Science State University of Makassar 2019 class, while the determination of a sample of the population as much as 757 with a standard error of 10% is as much as 88. The analysis technique used is multiple regression analysis.The results of this study show that the two independent variables have a significant effect on the selection of study programs at the Faculty of Social Science, namely factor family that has a value of Sig. of 0.000 < 0.05 and factors reference group is stated to have influence significantly on the selection of study programs at the Faculty of Social Science because it has the value of Sig. by 0,037 < 0,05. Then the results of the F test shows the value of Sig. of 0.000 < 0.05, so it can be concluded that two factors, namely the reference group and family together significant effect on the selection of the program of study.Keywords : factors reference groups, family factors, choosing a program of study ]]>
