<![CDATA[This study aimed to determine the perception of the Java community againts the tradition of building a house in Bandar Negeri Village. The method used the description. Data collection techniques were observation, questionnaire, interview, documentation and library. Data analysis technique used was quantitative data. From the result of the research, there were two perception of society, that was the positive and negative on three indicators namely the stage before, implementation and after building a house. Positive percentage of 69,34% and negative percentage of 30,66%.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi masyarakat jawa terhadap tradisi membangun rumah di desa Bandar Negeri. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah observasi, angket, wawancara, dokumentasi dan studi pustaka. Teknik analisis data adalah teknik analisis data kuantitatif. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh dua persepsi, yaitu positif dan negatif pada tiga indikator, tahap sebelum, pelaksanaan dan setelah membangun rumah.
