Abstract

AbstractDaun Salam contains essential oil (sitral and eugenol), tannins and flavonoids. This research aims to understand the test results of Phytochemical and antioxidant activity. Daun Salam (Eugenia polyantha) extracted in maceration with methanol. Extract and tested Phytochemical and antioxidant activity of DPPH method. Results of the study showed extracts of leaves (Eugenia polyantha) have chemical contents, namely alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, steroids, these terpenoids and tannins, test method of DPPH antioxidant activity of sample extract with the bay leaf in the get the value of IC-50 amounted to 19.97 ppm. Keywords:Daun salam, phytochemicals, antioxidants AbstrakDaunSalam mengandungminyakatsiri (sitral dan eugenol), tanin dan flavonoid.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahuihasil uji fitokimia dan aktivitas antioksidan.
