<![CDATA[AbstractThere are various ways to empower oneself in the village. One of them is to make the need for community tourism a trigger for empowerment. By making some of the space in his house a place for tourists to stay, the residents of Batulayang Village make their house as a homestay. Through this homestay, villagers have become a tourist service business in the lodging sector, which then they mine profits that can help meet some of their needs. This study is based on the following research questions; (a) What is the process of homestay-based economic empowerment in Batulayang Tourism Village, and (b) How are the results of homestay-based economic empowerment in Batulayang Tourism Village. The results of the study show that the Batulayang tourism village homestay has tourism potential in economic empowerment by increasing people's income. The tourism-based economic empowerment process involves the active participation of the community which aims to create asustainable and independent tourist village.Keywords: community development; homestay; tourismAbstrakAda beragam cara memberdayakan diri di desa. Salah satunya adalah dengan menjadikan kebutuhan berwisata masyarakat sebagai pemantik pemberdayaan.Dengan menjadikan sebagian ruang di rumahnya untuk tempat menginap para wisatawan, warga Desa Batulayang menjadikan rumahnya sebagai homestay.Melaluihomestay ini, warga desa menjadi memiliki usaha jasa wisata di bidang penginapan, yang kemudian mereka menambang keuntungan yang bisa membantu memenuhi sebagian kebutuhannya.Studi ini didasarkan pada pertanyaan penelitian sebagai berikut; (a) Bagaimana proses pemberdayaan ekonomi berbasis homestay yang berada di Desa Wisata Batulayang, dan (b) Bagaimana hasil pemberdayaan ekonomi berbasis homestay di Desa Wisata Batulayang.Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa homestayDesa Wisata Batulayang memiliki potensi pariwisata dalam pemberdayaan ekonomi dengan meningkatkan pendapatan masyarakat.
