AbstractThis study aims to: (1) Determine student responses after participating in distance learning (PJJ). (2) Knowing the effectiveness of distance learning (PJJ) on primary school (SDN 21 Sarang Burung Danau). The research was conducted on 47 grade 6 (Six) students of SDN 21 Sarang Burung Danau, Sambas, West Kalimantan. The research was conducted for 6 (six) months, from June to November 2020. The data collection in the form of a response questionnaire with indirect communication techniques and interviews. The results show that the students' response rate with an average of each aspect was 76.32% high category, this shows that students did not experience any significant problems while following PJJ. This finding is reinforced by the results of interviews that show students' motivation and enjoyment during PJJ which enables students to adapt to current learning situations. Research has also found the effectiveness of PJJ in the effective category so that it can help students in distance learning (PJJ) or online learning.Keywords: effectivity, PJJ, SDN Sarang Burung Danau, covid 19
