REDESAIN PEMUKIMAN KUMUH GANG MARLINA BERBASIS KARAKTERISTIK MBR

One of the problems of the urban population, especially in Indonesia is the growth of MBR (Low-Income People). The living environment of MBR itself has many problems, one of which is the quality of life. One way to improve the quality of life of MBR is by structuring a healthy residential environment. However, economic limitations MBR is something that must be considered in the design of the residential environment. Therefore, we need an adequate but affordable MBR settlement system and method. This research raises the issue of MBR in the Muara Baru area, North Jakarta. The Marlina Modular Social Housing Project in Muara Baru is one of the efforts to overcome these problems. Modular housing systems, natural energy utilization and material selection are used to reduce and streamline costs. On the other hand, the characteristics of MBR, namely social strength are also applied in buildings so that these settlements still have characteristics MBR. Thus, the combination of cost savings and the application of social power is expected to become a model for MBR settlements that can improve MBR's own welfare.    Keywords:  ecology; environment; housing; low-income people Abstrak Salah satu problem penduduk perkotaan, terutama di Indonesia adalah pertumbuhan MBR (Masyarakat Berpenghasilan Rendah).  Lingkungan tempat tinggal MBR sendiri memiliki banyak permasalahan, salah satunya adalah kualitas hidup. Salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan kualitas hidup MBR adalah dengan penataan lingkungan pemukiman sehat.  Namun keterbatasan ekonomi MBR menjadi hal yang harus diperhatikan dalam desain lingkungan pemukiman.  Oleh sebab itu, dibutuhkan sebuah sistem dan metode pemukiman MBR yang memadai namun tetap terjangkau.  Penelitian ini mengangkat permasalahan tentang MBR di kawasan Muara Baru, Jakarta Utara. Proyek Perumahan Sosial Modular Marlina di Muara Baru adalah salah satu upaya untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut.  Sistem pemukiman modular, pemanfaatan energi alam dan pemilihan material digunakan untuk menekan dan mengefisiensikan biaya.  Di sisi lain, karateristik MBR yaitu kekuatan sosial juga diterapkan dalam bangunan sehingga pemukiman ini tetap memiliki karakteristik MBR.  Sehingga, kombinasi penghematan biaya dan penerapan kekuatan sosial ini diharapkan dapat menjadi model pemukiman MBR yang dapat meningkatkan kesejahteraan MBR sendiri.
