Abstrak Material yang berasal dari kulit hewan memiliki karakter yang khas dimana strukturnya sangat kuat namun fleksibel dan dengan proses yang tepat akan menghasilkan kulit yang tidak mudah membusuk. Kulit merupakan salah satu material tekstil yang sangat diminati oleh konsumen, karena karakteristiknya khas, serta sifatnya yang tahan lama dan kesan ekslusif yang ditimbulkan dari material ini. Aksesoris fashion yang terbuat dari kulit senantiasa diminati. Kebudayaan Indonesia yang beraneka macam  menjadi kekayaan dan kearifan lokal Indonesia yang sudah tersebar di mata dunia. Salah satu kebudayaan yang khas adalah dari Pulau Kalimantan yang terkenal dengan Suku Dayak. Ragam hias Dayak yang penuh detail dan rumit sangat cocok dipadukan dengan teknik laser cutting dan laser engraving. Laser cutting adalah teknologi yang menggunakan laser untuk memotong bahan yang berbentuk plat/lembaran. Laser cutting bekerja dengan mengarahkan output dari laser daya tinggi yang diatur secara terkomputerisasi. Laser engraving adalah praktek menggunakan laser untuk mengukir atau menandai objek.
