Abstract

Abstrak Indonesia memiliki beragam jenis suku yang tersebar luas di pelosok tanah air yang membawa masing-masing keunikan tersendiri disetiap artefak yang dimiliki. Contohnya bentuk tekstil yaitu kain tenun dan ada ukiran. Suku Batak memiliki hasil tenun yang biasa disebut Ulos. Ulos memiliki arti selimut.  Namun makna dari Ulos semakin mendalam, terdapat nilai sarat kasih sayang dan pesan. Pada ukiran terdapat juga simbol-simbol yang memiliki arti eratnya hubungan manusia dengan alam. Fenomena perkembangan teknologi yang terjadi di dunia, membawa serta perkembangan tekstil menuju kearah eksplorasi tak terbatas. Berbagai tehnik diperkenalkan sebagai cara baru kepada dunia. Salah satu tehnik itu adalah digital printing.Kata Kunci : batak, ragam hias, Ulos, ukiran, digital printing Abstract Indonesia has variety of tribes that are widespread throughout the country where every tribe bring the uniqueness in each of artifacts owned. For example the form of textile fabrics and carved. Batak tribes have woven the so-called Ulos. Ulos means blanket. But the meaning of Ulos deepens; there is love and value-laden messages. In the carvings there are also symbols that have meaning close relationship with nature. The phenomenon of technological developments brings with it the development of textiles moving towards infinite exploration. Various techniques are introduced as a new way to the world. One technique that is digital printing.
