<![CDATA[Abstrak Indonesia memiliki beragam jenis suku yang tersebar luas di pelosok tanah air yang membawa masing-masing keunikan tersendiri disetiap artefak yang dimiliki. Contohnya bentuk tekstil yaitu kain tenun dan ada ukiran. Suku Batak memiliki hasil tenun yang biasa disebut Ulos. Ulos memiliki arti selimut. Namun makna dari Ulos semakin mendalam, terdapat nilai sarat kasih sayang dan pesan. Pada ukiran terdapat juga simbol-simbol yang memiliki arti eratnya hubungan manusia dengan alam. Fenomena perkembangan teknologi yang terjadi di dunia, membawa serta perkembangan tekstil menuju kearah eksplorasi tak terbatas. Berbagai tehnik diperkenalkan sebagai cara baru kepada dunia.
