<![CDATA[Hypertension is a condition of a person who experiences an increase in blood pressure above normal. Riskesdas 2018 states that the prevalence of hypertension cases in Indonesia is 63,309,620 people, while the death rate in Indonesia due to hypertension is 427,218 deaths. (Riskesdas, 2018). as for the purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between knowledge, obesity, gender and high salt consumption simultaneously with the incidence of hypertension in Twenty Three Ilir Health Center Palembang City in 2021. The research design that will be used in this study is analytic descriptive with a cross sectional approach. The sample in this study amounted to 89 respondents. Univariate analysis results show that most of the respondents studied have poor knowledge, amounting to 49 respondents (55.1%) and those with good knowledge are 40 respondents (44.9%). From the results of the bivariate analysis, it was found that the knowledge variable value 0.005, gender variable value 0.027 and the high salt consumption variable obtained a p value of 0.007 where this value <0.05 indicates that there is a significant relationship between knowledge, gender and consumption high salt content with the incidence of hypertension in the area of Twenty Three Ilir Health Center Palembang City. Research suggestions The results of this study are expected to be input for health workers in the preparation of programs and policies in overcoming hypertension.]]>
