Abstract

Artikel ini mengusulkan pembacaan Sabat di Kejadian 1 berdasarkan konteks Israel abad ke-6 SM yang berkaitan erat dengan pembuangan. Saya mengupas topik ini dengan membaca Kejadian 1 sesuai bentuk akhir dan mempertimbangkan konteks historis, sosial, dan religius Israel di abad ke-6 SM. Akhirnya, pembacaan berikut menguak signifikansi Sabat di Kejadian 1 bagi Israel purba. This article argues for a reading of the Sabbath in Genesis 1 based on Israel's context in the 6th century BC, which is closely related with the exile. I analyze this topic by reading Genesis 1 in the final form and consider the historical, social, and religious contexts of Israel in the 6th century BC. Finally, this reading discovers the significance of Sabbath in Genesis 1 for ancient Israel.
