Abstract

Hydrangea macrophylla (Thunb.) Ser (panca warna) flowers have an attractive color. This plant is difficult to cut if not treated using root growth regulating substances (ZPTA). The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of ZPTA concentration, the concentration of nutrient solution and the interaction between ZPTA with nutrient solution to the growth of roots and shoots of H. macrophylla plants in liquid culture media. This study used factorial completely randomized design that consists of two factors, the concentration of nutrients and ZPTA concentration. Each treatment combination consists of four replications. The concentration of nutrient media used was (0 prescription nutrient solution and 1/16 recipe for MS nutrient solution) and the concentration of ZPTA Root Up (0 ppm, 100 ppm, and 200 ppm). The results of the observations were analysed using analysis of variance, if the treatment showed a real effect followed by BNT test. The results showed that the concentration of ZPTA affected the length of the shoot. The nutrient concentration affect the number of roots. The interaction between nutrient concentration and ZPTA affects the length of the shoot. Giving nutrition and ZPTA also affect plant morphology, such as leaf color and root color. Ser (panca warna) mempunyai warna yang menarik. Tanaman ini sulit untuk distek jika tanpa menggunakan zat pengatur tumbuh akar (ZPTA). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis pengaruh konsentrasi ZPTA, konsentrasi larutan nutrisi MS dan interaksi antrara ZPTA dengan larutan nutrisi MS terhadap pertumbuhan akar dan tunas tanaman H. macrophylla pada media kultur cair. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) faktorial yang terdiri atas dua faktor yaitu konsentrasi nutrisi dan konsentrasi ZPTA. Setiap kombinasi perlakuan terdiri atas empat ulangan. Konsentrasi media nutrisi yang digunakan adalah (0 resep larutan nutrisi dan 1/16 resep larutan nutrisi MS) dan konsentrasi ZPTA Root Up (0 ppm, 100 ppm dan 200 ppm). Hasil pengamatan dianalisis menggunakan analisis varians, dan jika perlakuan menunjukkan perngaruh nyata dilanjutkan dengan uji BNT. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsentrasi ZPTA berpengaruh terhadap panjang tunas. Konsentrasi nutrisi berpengaruh terhadap jumlah akar. Interaksi antara konsentrasi nutrisi dan ZPTA berpengaruh terhadap panjang tunas. Pemberian nutrisi dan ZPTA juga mempengaruhi morfologi tanaman, seperti warna daun dan warna akar.
