Abstract

Abstrak Dalam rangka meningkatkan daya saing industri tingkat regional maupun internasional. Industri manufaktur merupakan industri yang banyak menyerap tenaga kerja, teknologi pengelasan menjadi sangat penting karena sebagian besar pada industri manufaktur menggunakan teknik pengelasan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh variasi arus pengelasan terhadap kekuatan tarik dan micro structure pengelasan SMAW dengan elektroda RB-26 pada pelat Besi Strip dengan ketebalan 06 mm. Besar variasi penggunaan arus las adalah 75 amp, 85 amp, 95 amp. Penelitian ini adalah dilakukan dengan membuat uji spesiment dengan variasi arus las sebesar 75 ampere, 85 ampere, 95 ampere, selanjutnya dilakukan pengujian spesiment uji tarik dan foto mikro untuk mencari informasi pengaruh yang disebabkan oleh variasi arus las terhadap kekuatan tarik dan micro structure. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kekuatan tarik tertinggi (Ultimate Tensile Strength) diperoleh pada asampel sebesar 95 ampere dengan nilai rata – rata UTS sebesar 3624.9MPa. This study aims to determine the effect of variations in welding current on tensile strength and microstructure of SMAW welding with RB-26 electrodes on Iron Strip plates with a thickness of 06 mm. Large variations in the use of welding currents are 75 amps, 85 amps, 95 amps. This research was carried out by making specimen tests with variations in welding currents of 75 amperes, 85 amperes, 95 amperes, then tensile test specimens and micro photos were carried out to find information on the effects caused by variations in welding currents on tensile strength and micro structure. The results showed that the highest tensile strength (Ultimate Tensile Strength) was obtained at samples of 95 amperes with an average UTS value of 3624.9 MPa.
