Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian yang bertujuan menentukan persamaan empiris korelasi periode dominan dengan magnitudo momen untuk gempa bumi lokal di wilayah Sumatera Utara. Penelitian ini menggunakan data gempa bumi lokal di wilayah Sumatera utara dengan 35 data yang diperoleh dari Webdc. Hasil rata-rata periode dominan diperoleh dari beberapa stasiun pencatat gempa bumi yang berbeda dan nilai magnitudo momen diperoleh dari katalog Globalcmt, sehingga dapat diketahui grafik korelasi linear hubungan antara periode dominan dengan magnitudo momen untuk gempa bumi lokal di wilayah Sumatera Utara. Dari hasil penelitian ini didapatkan rumus empiris korelasi antara periode dominan dengan magnitudo momen untuk gempa bumi lokal di wilayah Sumatera Utara yaitu Magnitudo momen = 1.0626 Td + 3.997 atau Periode dominan = 0.6772 magnitudo momen – 2.2799 dengan diperoleh hasil R-Square sebesar 71.96 % dan hasil (R) koefisien korelasi sebesar R=84.83 %, dan hasil korelasi antara magnitudo momen dengan logaritma periode dominan yaitu Magnitudo momen = 4.1735 Log Td + 4.928 atau Logaritma periode dominan = 0.153 magnitudo momen – 0.699 dengan diperoleh hasil R-Square sebesar 64.24 % dan hasil (R) koefisien korelasi sebesar R=80.15 % Kata Kunci: Kata kunci : Gempa bumi lokal, Periode dominan, Magnitudo momen. Abstract Research aimed at determining the empirical correlation equation with a dominant period of moment magnitude for local earthquakes in the region of North Sumatra. This study uses data of local earthquakes in the region of northern Sumatra with 35 data obtained from Webdc. The average yield obtained from several dominant period seismograph stations different and the value obtained from the catalog magnitude Globalcmt moment, so it can be seen graphs of linear correlation with the relationship between the dominant period of moment magnitude for local earthquakes in the region of North Sumatra.
