UPAYA PENINGKATAN PRESTASI BELAJAR SISWA SMPN 19 KABUPATEN TEBO MELALUI MODEL PENEMUAN TERBIMBING PADA MATERI STRUKTUR ANATOMI TUBUH

This study aims: to see the increase in student achievement in class VIII SMP Negeri 19 Tebo Regency in the odd semester of the 2019/2020 academic year by applying the guided discovery model. This type of research is classroom action research (CAR). The sample of this study was one class, consisting of 20 students. The instrument used in this study was a multiple-choice test with 35 questions with 4 choices on the structure and function of animal anatomy. Learning is carried out in three cycles and each lesson is posttest. The average value of the pre-test cycle I: 29.17; cycle II: 41.11; and cycle III: 33.50. The average value of the posttest cycle I: 71.25; cycle II : 74.44; and cycle III: 77.04. The percentage increase in N-gain learning achievement results in the first cycle: 59%; cycle II : 57%; and cycle III: 65%, each in the medium category. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that there is an increase in the learning achievement of class VIII A students of SMP Negeri 19 Tebo Regency in the odd semester of the 2019/2020 academic year by applying the guided discovery model. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan: untuk melihat peningkatan prestasi belajar siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 19 Kabupaten Tebo semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2019/2020 dengan penerapan model penemuan terbimbing. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Sampel penelitian ini sebanyak satu kelas, terdiri dari 20 orang siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini tes dalam bentuk pilihan berganda sebanyak 35 soal dengan 4 pilihan pada materi Struktur dan Fungsi anatomi hewan. Pembelajaran dilakukan dengan tiga siklus dan setiap pembelajaran dilakukan postest. Nilai rata-rata pre-tes siklus I : 29,17; siklus II : 41,11; dan siklus III : 33,50. Nilai rata-rata postes siklus I : 71,25; siklus II : 74,44; dan siklus III : 77,04. Persentase peningkatan N-gain hasil prestasi belajar pada siklus I: 59%; siklus II : 57%; dan siklus III : 65%, masing-masing pada kategori sedang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada peningkatan prestasi belajar siswa kelas VIII A SMP Negeri 19 Kabupaten Tebo semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2019/2020 dengan penerapan model penemuan terbimbing.
