ABSTRACTThe South Sumatra 8 2x660MW Mine Mouth Coal Fired Power Plant (CFPP) uses a cooling tower that circulates the water supply system, where the water is sourced from the Enim River near by the location. From the point of view of the location and hydrology and sediment characteristics of the Enim River, combined with the operation of PLN's power plant at the downstream of the Enim River, there are two problems with the water intake of Sumsel 8 Power Plant. The first is the insufficient water supply during the dry season due to the low water level and depth.
