PENGARUH EFIKASI DIRI DAN HARGA DIRI TERHADAP PRESTASI BELAJAR IPA

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) menganalisis pengaruh efikasi diri terhadap prestasi belajar IPA, 2) menganalisis pengaruh harga diri terhadap prestasi belajar IPA, dan 3) menganalisis pengaruh efikasi diri dan harga diri terhadap prestasi belajar IPA. Jenis penelitian ini adalah ex post facto. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa Kelas VIII SMP Negeri di Kecamatan Nusa Penida yang berjumlah 614 siswa. Sampel penelitian diambil menggunakan teknik proporsional random sampling yang berjumlah 258 siswa. Data efikasi diri dan harga diri dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan kuesioner, sedangkan data prestasi belajar IPA dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan tes prestasi belajar IPA pada materi usaha dan energi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif, regresi linier sederhana, dan regresi ganda dua prediktor. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) efikasi diri berpengaruh terhadap prestasi belajar IPA (F = 43,488, p < 0,05) dengan sumbangan efektif sebesar 7,04%, 2) harga diri berpengaruh terhadap prestasi belajar IPA (F = 47,293, p < 0,05) dengan sumbangan efektif sebesar 11,66%, 3) efikasi diri dan harga diri secara bersama-sama berpengaruh terhadap prestasi belajar IPA (F = 29,263, p < 0,05) dengan sumbangan efektif sebesar 18,70%.Kata Kunci : Efikasi Diri, Harga Diri, Prestasi Belajar IPA This study aimed at 1) analysing the effect of self efficacy towards science learning achievement, 2) analysing the effect of self esteem towards science learning achievement, and 3) analysing the effect of self efficacy and self esteem toward science learning achievement. This study was ex post facto research. Population were 614 8th grade students of all state junior high schools in Nusa Penida. The sample was taken by proportional random sampling technique with the total students 258. The data of self efficacy and self esteem were collected by using questionnaire, while the data of science learning avhievement were collected by using science learning achievement test with the topics work and energy. Data were analyzed by descriptive analyze technique, simple linear regression, and multiple regression with two predictors. The results of the study show that 1) there is an influence of self efficacy towards science learning achievement (F = 43,488, p < 0,05) with effective contribution 7,04%, 2) there is an influence of self esteem towards science learning achievement (F = 47,293, p < 0,05) with effective contribution 11,66%, 3) there is an influence of self efficacy and self esteem towards science learning achievement (F = 29,263, p < 0,05) with effective contribution 18,70%.keyword : Self Efficacy, Self Esteem, Science Learning Achievement
