Dukungan Modal Sosial dalam Kolektivitas Usaha Tani untuk Mendukung Kinerja Produksi Pertanian Studi Kasus: Kabupaten Karawang dan Subang

Abstract

Perkembangan sektor industri yang secara intens dikhawatirkan semakin mengancam keberadaan lahan pertanian, terutama di kawasan lumbung padi nasional seperti Kabupaten Subang dan Karawang. Kondisi semakin diperburuk oleh banyaknya petani gurem yang berskala usaha kecil, pendapatan yang rendah, dan kinerja produksi yang tidak dapat bersaing di pasar modern. Dalam menghadapinya, petani harus melakukan suatu revolusi manajemen usaha yang menyatukan petani-petani gurem ke dalam bentuk usaha kolektif. Penggabungan ke dalam usaha kolektif tersebut memerlukan adanya dukungan modal sosial yang kuat antar masyarakat petani, yang meliputi jejaring sosial dan kepercayaan satu sama lain. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, disimpulkan bahwa kondisi modal sosial kalangan masyarakat petani di kedua wilayah studi tidak dapat mendukung kinerja kolektifitas usaha tani akibat adanya trauma finansial. Ketiadaan kolektifitas tersebut membuat kapasitas, kualitas, dan kontonuitas produksi yang diharapkan dapat bersaing di apsar modern tidak dapat terjadi. Biaya produksi pun menjadi tidak efisien dan kesejahteraan petani sangat rendah.Kata Kunci: Industri, kinerja produksi, kolektifitas usaha tani, modal sosial, masyarakat petaniThe development of the industrial sector that is increasingly threatening the existence of an agricultural land, particularly in areas such as the national granary Subang and Karawang. The condition is further aggravated by the many small farmers, low income, and production performance can not compete in the modern market. In the deal, farmers must undertake a business management revolution that brings together farmers in the collective effort. Incorporation into the collective effort requires the support of strong social capital among the farming community, which includes social networking and trust each other. Based on the analysis, it was concluded that the conditions of social capital among the farmers in the two study areas could not support farming collectivity performance due to financial trauma. The absence of such collectivity making capacity, quality, and production kontonuitas are expected to compete in the modern Apsar can not happen. The cost of production becomes inefficient and welfare of farmers is very low.Keywords: Manufacture, production performance, collectivity farming, social capital, community farmers
