Abstract: The Implementation of Good Corporate Governance in Order to Increase Performance of BUMN (Study at PT Pupuk Kalimantan Timur, Bontang City). One of the efforts to improve the company performance is by applying a Good Corporate Governance (GCG). One of a company is applying GCG is PT Pupuk Kalimantan Timur located in Bontang City. Implementation of GCG in Pupuk Kaltim realized through the application of the principles of good corporate governance is expected to support performance Pupuk Kaltim. Therefore, it is necessary to the performance assessment for the implementation of GCG in Pupuk Kaltim, one through the Balanced Scorecard approach (BSC) is through the perspectives of BSC.This study using descriptive qualitative. Based on the research the implementation of GCG in Pupuk Kaltim has been running well, through it capable of supporting the creation of a good performance in Pupuk Kaltim. But in practice there are still problems concerning policy on a company so need of socialization regarding the policy. Therefore PT Pupuk Kalimantan Timur had to make various efforts in the framework of the achievement of an effective performance so that the Chief and company targets can be achieved. Keywords: Good Corporate Governance, Balanced Scorecard, performance Abstrak: Implementasi Good Corporate Governance dalam Rangka Meningkatkan Kinerja BUMN (Studi pada PT Pupuk Kalimantan Timur Kota Bontang). Salah satu upaya dalam meningkatkan kinerja perusahaan adalah dengan menerapkan Good Corporate Governance (GCG). Salah satu perusahaan yang menerapkan GCG adalah PT Pupuk Kalimantan Timur yang terletak di Kota Bontang.Implementasi GCG di Pupuk Kaltim diwujudkan melalui penerapan prinsip-prinsip GCG yang diharapkan mampu menunjang kinerja Pupuk Kaltim. Oleh karena itu diperlukan adanya penilaian kinerja dalam rangka implementasi GCG di Pupuk Kaltim, salah satunya melalui pendekatan Balance Scorecard (BSC) yang dilihat melalui persektif BSC. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi GCG di Pupuk Kaltim telah berjalan dengan baik, melalui hal tersebut mampu mendukung terciptanya kinerja yang baik di Pupuk Kaltim. Namun dalam pelaksanaannya masih terdapat berbagai permasalahan terkait dengan kebijakan perusahaan sehingga perlu adanya sosialisasi mengenai kebijakan tersebut. Oleh karena itu Pupuk Kaltim perlu melakukan berbagai upaya dalam rangka pencapaian kinerja yang efektif sehingga strategi dan target perusahaan dapat tercapai dengan maksimal.   Kata Kunci: Good Corporate Governance, Balanced Scorecard, kinerja
