This  article  emphasizes  the  application  of  constructivism  in  learning  Indonesian needs to be done with respect to the character of learning materials. It is believed that while language learning is practical learning, but the interests of the practice still requires  theoretical  matters,  the  concepts,  principles,  procedures,  criteria,  and value.  Theoretical  teaching  materials  requires  the  application  of  constructivism  is different.
