UPAYA MENINGKATKAN AKTIFITAS DAN PRESTASI BELAJAR BIOLOGI DI KELAS X SMAN 6 KOTA JAMBI MELALUI MODEL KOOPERATIF TIPE JIGSAW

This study aims to improve biology learning outcomes through the Jigsaw Cooperative Model for Class X MIA 2 students at SMA Negeri 6 Jambi City in the 2016/2017 academic year. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) which consists of 2 cycles, each cycle consisting of planning, implementation, observation and reflection stages with 2 meetings in each cycle. The method used in this research is descriptive research method. The population is students of class X MIA 2 SMA Negeri 6 Jambi City. Based on the research results, the application of the Jigsaw Cooperative Model can improve student learning outcomes in biology learning. This is evidenced by the results of observations that show the level of student progress from the first meeting with a percentage of 65.48% to the fourth meeting with a percentage of 85.42%. This research can also increase the effectiveness of teachers in carrying out the biology learning process. This is evidenced from the results of teacher observations which have increased from the first meeting, namely 70.45% to the fourth meeting, which is 85.58%. So that the Jigsaw Cooperative Model can be used as an alternative in the teaching and learning process because it can provide variety in biology learning that involves students more being active and motivated in learning so that student activities and learning outcomes increase. However, the use of the Jigsaw Cooperative Model in biology learning should also be adapted to the material and learning topics to be taught. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar biologi melalui Model Kooperatif tipe Jigsaw pada Siswa Kelas X MIA 2 SMA Negeri 6 Kota Jambi Tahun Pelajaran 2016/2017.  Penelitian ini berjenis Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang terdiri atas 2 siklus, setiap siklus terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi dengan 2 kali pertemuan dalam setiap siklusnya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian deskripsi. Populasinya adalah siswa kelas X MIA 2 SMA Negeri 6 Kota Jambi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, penerapan Model Kooperatif tipe Jigsaw dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran biologi. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan hasil observasi yang menunjukkan tingkat kemajuan siswa dari pertemuan pertama dengan persentase 65,48% sampai pertemuan keempat dengan persentase 85,42%. Penelitian ini juga dapat meningkatkan keefektifan guru dalam melaksanakan proses pembelajaran biologi. Hal ini dibuktikan dari hasil hasil observasi guru yang mengalami peningkatan dari pertemuan pertama yaitu 70,45% sampai pertemuan keempat yaitu 85,58%. Sehingga Model Kooperatif tipe Jigsaw dapat dijadikan sebagai salah satu alternatif dalam proses belajar mengajar karena dapat memberikan variasi dalam pembelajaran biologi yang lebih melibatkan siswa untuk aktif dan termotivasi dalam pembelajaran sehingga aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa meningkat. Namun, juga Penggunaan Model Kooperatif tipe Jigsaw dalam pembelajaran biologi hendaknya disesuaikan dengan materi dan topik pembelajaran yang akan diajarkan.
