MENINGKATKAN KEAKTIFAN DAN HASIL BELAJAR MATEMATIKA PADA MATERI STATISTIKA MELALUI METODE PEMBELAJARAN DISCOVERY

The objectives to be achieved in the research are: 1). Want to know the effect of the Discovery learning method on increasing student activity in Statistics. 2). Want to know the effect of the Discovery learning method on improving Learning Outcomes in Statistics material. This research was conducted through a cyclical assessment process consisting of four stages (Planning, Implementation, Observation, and Reflection) in two learning cycles. From the results of the analysis it can be concluded that: 1). The application of the Discovery method can increase student activity from 22.2% in the pre-cycle to 81% in the first cycle and to 92% in the second cycle. 2) The application of the Discovery learning method can improve learning outcomes, it can be seen from the students' mastery from the first cycle to 77.8% compared to the pre-cycle 22.2%, and the increase in student mastery in the second cycle to 88.9% compared to 77.8% in the first cycle. . The class average also showed an increase from pre-cycle 64.4 to 82.5 in the first cycle, and from 82.5 in the first cycle to 82.7 in the second cycle. ABSTRAKTujuan yang ingin dicapai dalam penelitian adalah : 1). Ingin mengetahui pengaruh metode pembelajaran Discovery terhadap peningkatan keaktifan siswa pada materi Statistika.2). Ingin mengetahui pengaruh metode pembelajaran Discovery terhadap peningkatan Hasil Belajar pada materi Statistika. Penelitian ini dilakukan melalui proses pengkajian berdaur yang yang terdiri dari empat tahapan (Perencanaan, Pelaksanaan, Pengamatan, dan Refleksi) dalam dua siklus pembelajaran. Dari hasil analisis dapat disimpulkan bahwa : 1). Penerapan metode Discovery dapat meningkatkan Keaktifan siswa dari 22,2% padapra siklus menjadi 81% pada siklus I dan menjadi 92% pada siklus II. 2) Penerapan metode pembelajaran Discovery dapat meningkatkan Hasil Belajar dapat dilihat dari ketuntasan siswa dari siklus I 77,8% dibandingkan dari pada prasiklus 22,2%, dan kenaikan ketuntasan siswa pada siklus II 88,9% dibanding pada siklus I 77,8%. Pada nilai rata-rata kelas juga menunjukkan peningkatan dari pra siklus 64,4 menjadi 82,5 pada siklus I, dan dari 82,5 pada siklus I menjadi 82,7 pada siklus II.
