UPAYA MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR PKN MATERI BUDAYA DEMOKRASI MELALUI PENERAPAN METODE PETA KONSEP

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar PKn bagi siswa kelas XI IPS 1 SMA Teuku Umar Semarang pada semester genap tahun pelajaran 2009 /2010 melaluia penerapan metode Peta Konsep. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam waktu 4 bulan yaitu mulai bulan Agustus 2009 sampai dengan bulan Nopember 2009. Sedangkan tempat penelitian menganbil tempat di SMA Teuku Umar Semarang. Sedangkan subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPS 1 SMA Teuku Umar Semarang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas, dengan menggunakan tindakan dua kali dalam dua siklus. Siklus I adalah penerapan metode Peta Konsep pada kelompok besar, sedang siklus II penerapan metode Peta konsep pada kelompok kecil. Tahapan tiap siklus terdiri dari : (1) perencanaan tindakan; (2) pelaksanaan tindakan; (3) pengamatan tindakan; (4) merefleksi tindakan. Hasil Penelitian diperoleh simpulan bahwa melalui penerapan metode Peta Konsep dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar bagi siswa kelas XI IPS 1 SMA Teuku Umar Semarang materi Budaya Demokrasi pada semester gasal Tahun Pelajaran 2009. The purpose of this research is to improve learning outcomes of civics education for students of class XI IPS 1 of SMA Teuku Umar Semarang in the second semester of academic year 2009/2010 by means of the application of Map Concept method. The research was carried out within 4 months i.e. from August 2009 until November 2009. The research place was in SMA Teuku Umar Semarang. The subjects in this study were the students of class XI IPS 1 of SMA Teuku Umar Semarang. The method used in this study using the class action of research method, using the action twice in two cycles. The cycle I is the application of Map Concept method on large groups, The second cycle is the application of the map concept method in small groups. Each stage of the cycle consists of: (1) the action planning, (2) the implementation of the action, (3) the observation of the action, (4) reflecting the action. The results of the research concludes that the application of Map Concept method can improve the learning outcomes for the students of class XI IPS 1of  SMA Teuku Umar Semarang material Culture of Democracy in the odd semester of academic year 2009.
