PERANCANGAN TATA LETAK FASILITAS LINI PRODUKSI GASKET KULKAS DI PT.Z

Abstract

AbstractThe layout of the production line facilities is one of the initial designof the production lines. The layout of the facility needs to be well designed, so that the production flow can run effectively and efficiently. PT.Z, is a developing wash machine spare part supplier company. Its development make this company want to make a new product namely refrigerator gasket. This research was conducted by PT.Z, which has not been used anymore for the production of washing machine spare part. The building has an area of 630,85 m2 and a production line area of 291,37 m2 which will be used for new refrigerator gaskets products. Layout design using Activity Relationship Chart (ARC), Activity Relationship Diagram (ARD), calculating distance between machines and distance metodes, calculating Material Handling Cost and providing two alternative proposals with each alternative using two production streams that the different is expected to be able to overcome the initial problems faced by PT.Z. Keywords :            designing facility layout, ARC, ARD, aisle distance, OMH AbstrakTata letak fasilitas lini produksi merupakan salah satu hal yang paling dasar dalam perancangan awal lini produksi. Tata letak fasilitas perlu dirancang dengan baik, agar aliran produksi dapat berjalan dengan efektif dan efisien. PT.Z, merupakan sebuah perusahaan supplierspare part mesin cuci yang sedang berkembang. Perkembangannya membuat perusahaan ini ingin membuat produk baru yaitu gasket kulkas. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di pabrik lama PT.Z yang selama ini lokasi tersebut tidak digunakan lagi untuk produksi spare part mesin cuci. Bangunan seluas 630,85 m2 dan luas lini produksi 291,37 m2 yang akan digunakan untuk produk baru gasket kulkas. Perancangan tata letak dengan menggunakan Activity Relationship Chart (ARC), Activity Relationship Diagram (ARD), perhitungan jarak antar mesin dengan metode aisle distance, menghitung Ongkos Material Handling (OMH) dan memberikan dua usulan alternatif dengan masing-masing alternatif menggunakan dua aliran produksi yang berbeda diharapkan mampu mengatasi permasalahan awal yang dihadapi PT.Z. Kata kunci : perancangan tata letak fasilitas, ARC, ARD, aisle distance, OMH
