<![CDATA[AbstractThis paper discusses the cocoa downstream agro-industry development strategy. Cocoa is one of Indonesia's main export commodities. Around eighty percent of Indonesia's cocoa beans are exported and only 20% is to meet the needs of the domestic industry. The domestic industry has not yet developed as expected. For this reason, an accelerated downstream cocoa acceleration strategy is needed so that the downstream industry develops well. This study uses a SWOT analysis and gap analysis to obtain an acceleration strategy. Based on analysis, the results suggested 8 strategies for accelerating the development of cocoa agro-industry. Keywords : cocoa, strategy, downstream agroindustry AbstrakMakalah ini membahas tentang strategi pengembangan agroindustri hilir kakao. Kakao merupakan salah satu komoditas ekspor utama Indonesia. Sekitar delapan puluh persen biji kakao Indonesia diekspor dan hanya 20% untuk memenuhi kebutuhan industri dalam negeri. Industri dalam negeri belum berkembang seperti yang diharapkan. Untuk itu, diperlukan strategi percepatan pengembangan hilirisasi agar industri cokelat berkembang dengan baik. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis SWOT dan analisis gap untuk mendapatkan strategi percepatan.
