PENINGKATAN MINAT DAN PARTISIPASI BELAJAR SISWA KELAS VIII F SMP NEGERI 1 POGALAN DALAM PEMBELAJARAN IPS-GEOGRAFI MELALUI METODE OUT DOOR STUDY TAHUN PELAJARAN 2014/2015

This study aims to improve the learning process and increase students' interest and participation in learning through the out door study method. The type of research is Classroom Action Research which refers to the Kemmis and Taggart models, which in each cycle is carried out twice in each cycle consisting of four stages, namely planning, action, observation and reflection. This classroom action research was conducted at SMP Negeri I Pogalan in Trenggalek Regency. The target is class VIII F SMP Negeri I Pogalan with a total of 40 students, 18 males and 22 females. The research instrument consisted of the KBM format, out-of-class learning guides for each group, questionnaires, observation sheets, field notes/journals. The results showed that using the Out Door Study method from cycle I to cycle II everything went well. Of all the students who were the research subjects, 40 students based on the results of the first cycle questionnaire, there were 73% who had high interest and learning participation, while after the second cycle ended it increased to 80.4%. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperbaiki proses pembelajaran dan peningkatan minat dan partisipasi belajar siswa melalui metode out door study. Jenis penelitian adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang mengacu pada model Kemmis dan Taggart, yang setiap siklusnya dilaksanakan dua kali pertemuan setiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahap, yaitu perencanaan, tindakan, pengamatan (observasi) dan refleksi. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri I Pogalan di Kabupaten Trenggalek. Sebagai sasarannya adalah siswa kelas VIII F SMP Negeri I Pogalan dengan jumlah siswa 40 orang 18 laki-laki dan 22 perempuan. Instrumen penelitian terdiri dari Format KBM, Panduan belajar diluar kelas untuk masing masing kelompok, Kuesioner, Lembar observasi, Catatan lapangan/jurnal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan menggunakan metode Out Door Study dari siklus I ke Siklus II semua berjalan dengan baik. Dari seluruh siswa yang menjadi subyek penelitian sebanyak 40 siswa berdasarkan hasil angket siklus I terdapat 73% yang minat dan partisipasi belajarnya tinggi sedangkan setelah siklus 2 berakhir meningkat menjadi 80,4%.
