This study aims to describe the main character of the novel Rindu by Tere Liye and to describe the results of the research on the character of the main character of the novel Rindu by Tere Liye as an alternative teaching material at Madrasah Aliyah (MA). The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The data source of this research is the novel Rindu by Tere Liye. The data analysis technique used is the text content analysis technique. The results showed that there were four main characters including Ahmad Karaeng (Gurutta), Daeng Andipati, Ambo Uleng and Bonda Upe. The character includes five aspects including honest character (shidq), trustworthy character (amanah), character conveying orders (tabligh) and intelligent character (fathanah). The implication of the results of this study is that it can be used as an alternative teaching material to support the character education curriculum at Madrasah Aliyah (MA).Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan karakter tokoh utama yang terdapat dalam novel Rindu karya Tere Liye dan mendeskripsikan hasil penelitian karakter tokoh utama novel Rindu karya Tere Liye sebagai alternatif bahan ajar di Madrasah Aliyah (MA). Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data dari penelitian ini adalah novel Rindu karya Tere Liye. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis isi teks. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat empat karakter tokoh utama meliputi Ahmad Karaeng (Gurutta), Daeng Andipati, Ambo Uleng dan Bonda Upe. Karakter tersebut meliputi lima aspek diantaranya karakter jujur (shidq), karakter terpercaya (amanah), karakter menyampaikan perintah (tabligh) dan karakter cerdas (fathanah). Implikasi hasil penelitian ini adalah dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif bahan ajar untuk mendukung kurikulum pendidikan karakter di Madrasah Aliyah (MA).
