<![CDATA[ABSTRAK Kejahatan sosial pencurian dimasa pandemi saat ini mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan dan membuat resah masyarakat sekitar. Hal ini tentunya disebabkan karena banyak para pekerja kehilangan pekerjaannya secara tiba-tiba. Banyaknya orang yang kehilangan pekerjaannya inilah yang menjadi awal mula munculnya kejahatan sosial seperti mencuri yang tujuannya agar dapat memenuhi kebutuhan hidup mereka sendiri maupun keluarga-nya. Barang yang dicuri tersebut dapat berbentuk barang elektronik, sepeda motor, ataupun kebutuhan pokok lainnya. Tindakan kejahatan sosial inilah membuat masyarakat sekitar dan para penegak hukum menjadi geram, dikarenakan banyak kerugian yang terjadi pada masyarakat dari adanya kejadian ini. Para penegak hukum menjadi resah dan memikirkan beberapa cara agar hal ini tidak terulang secara berturut-turut. Tujuannya yaitu untuk menganalisis kejahatan sosial yang meningkat akibat pemberentian para pekerja di masa pandemi covid-19 serta meberikan penangan kasus kejahatan sosial pencurian agar tidak semakin marak terjadi. Metode yang digunakan ialah metode kualitatif melalui pendekatan studi pustaka atau studi literatur di berbagai sumber-sumber dengan menggunakan teori konflik yang digagas oleh Marx. Hasil dari artikel ini menunjukkan bahwa pandemi covid-19 sangat berdampak buruk bagi kehidupan masyarakat, tidak hanya masalah kesehatan namun juga permasalahan sosial lainnya seperti kejahatan sosial dan pengangguran akibat pemberhentian kerja secara paksa. ABSTRACT The social crime of theft during the current pandemic has experienced a significant increase and has made the surrounding community restless. This is of course because many workers suddenly lose their jobs. The number of people who lost their jobs is the beginning of the emergence of social crimes such as stealing whose purpose is to be able to meet the needs of their own lives and their families. The stolen goods can be in the form of electronic goods, motorcycles, or other basic necessities. This social crime act made the surrounding community and law enforcers furious, because there were many losses that occurred to the community from this incident. Law enforcers became restless and thought of several ways to prevent this from happening in succession. The aim is to analyze social crimes that have increased due to the dismissal of workers during the COVID-19 pandemic and to provide handlers for social crime cases of theft so that they do not become more common. The method used is a qualitative method through a literature study approach or literature study in various sources using the conflict theory initiated by Marx. The results of this article show that the COVID-19 pandemic has had a very bad impact on people's lives, not only health problems but also other social problems such as social crime and unemployment due to forced termination of work.
