Orientasi Masa Depan Dengan Kesiapan Kerja Siswa

The unemployment rate of the population is dominated by vocational school graduates. This is due to the gap between the needs of the world of work and the availability of labor in vocational education institutions. Based on this, the absorption of SMK graduates in the world of work is still very low. One of the causes is the lack of work preparation for vocational high school students in the business and industrial world. This study aims to determine the relationship between future orientation and work readiness of grade 12 students of SMK Negeri 2 Samarinda. This research uses quantitative methods. The sample in this study was 207 students including class XII of SMK Negeri 2 Samarinda obtained using the slovin formula. The results of this study showed a significant positive relationship between future orientation and work readiness with a calculated r value = 0.512 greater than the table r value = 0.159 and a p value = 0.000 (p < 0.050). This means that the higher the future orientation, the higher the work readiness of class XII students at SMK Negeri 2 Samarinda.Tingkat pengangguran penduduk didominasi oleh lulusan SMK. Hal ini dikarenakan adanya kesenjangan antara kebutuhan dunia kerja dengan ketersediaan tenaga kerja di lembaga pendidikan kejuruan. Berdasarkan hal tersebut terlihat bahwa daya serap lulusan SMK di dunia kerja masih sangat rendah. Salah satu penyebabnya adalah kurangnya persiapan kerja bagi siswa SMK di dunia bisnis dan industri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara orientasi masa depan dengan kesiapan kerja siswa kelas 12 SMK Negeri 2 Samarinda. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 207 siswa termasuk kelas XII SMK Negeri 2 Samarinda yang diperoleh dengan menggunakan rumus slovin. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif yang signifikan antara orientasi masa depan dengan kesiapan kerja dengan nilai r hitung = 0.512 lebih besar dari nilai r tabel = 0.159 dan nilai p = 0.000 (p < 0.050). Hal ini berarti semakin tinggi orientasi masa depan maka semakin tinggi pula kesiapan kerja siswa kelas XII di SMK Negeri 2 Samarinda.
