The behavior of the community around the riverbanks such as washing and disposing of household waste directly into the river has an impact on river water quality. Sei Lepan River, has experienced pollution which can be seen in the physical changes of river water. The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of community behavior on water quality in the Sei Lepan River and to increase public knowledge and understanding to have high awareness and self-potential to maintain health. A qualitative research approach using a combination of primary and secondary methods. The primary method, among others, is used for data collection techniques through questionnaires. Secondary methods, among others, are used for observation, in-depth interviews with private sector and community leaders. One of the strategies to achieve a public health degree is to provide public understanding and awareness to implement a clean lifestyle starting from the family or household level, the school environment and the wider community.
