ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study was to determine: (1) the understanding of FT UNY lecturers on MODIKAR PEKASI; (2) practical application of MODIKAR PEKASI in teaching vocational theory courses at FT UNY; and (3) the effectiveness of the theoretical application of MODIKAR PEKASI in integrating character values in group teaching of vocational theory courses at the FT UNY. The data were collected using descriptive quantitative methods with the type of survey research through questionnaire, with a lecturer who teaches vocational theory courses at the FT UNY as respondents. Quantitative data analysis used descriptive statistics, while qualitative data used thematic analysis. The results showed: (1) the lecturers' understanding of MODIKAR PEKASI was in the "very understanding" category with a value of XÌ… = 3.35; (2) the practicality of MODIKAR PEKASI including the "easy to implement" model with a value of XÌ… = 3.16; (3) the effectiveness of the PEKASI MODIKAR includes the "effective" model with the value of XÌ… = 3.00. Thus, MODIKAR PEKASI in integrating character values through the teaching of vocational theory courses at FT UNY, theoretically can be understood and used practically and effectively.Keywords: model, character education, basic vocational, and vocationalABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui: (1) pemahaman dosen FT UNY terhadap MODIKAR PEKASI; (2) kepraktisan penerapan MODIKAR PEKASI dalam pengajaran mata kuliah teori kejuruan di FT UNY; dan (3) keefektifan penerapan MODIKAR PEKASI secara teoritis dalam mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai karakter pada pengajaran kelompok mata kuliah teori kejuruan di FT UNY. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan angket, dengan dosen pengampu mata kuliah teori kejuruan di FT UNY sebagai responden. Analisis data kuantitatif dengan statistika deskriptif, sedangkan data kualitatif dengan analisis tematik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) pemahaman dosen terhadap MODIKAR PEKASI termasuk kategori "sangat paham" dengan nilai XÌ… = 3,35; (2) kepraktisan MODIKAR PEKASI termasuk model yang "mudah dilaksanakan" dengan nilai XÌ… = 3,16; (3) keefektifan MODIKAR PEKASI termasuk model yang "efektif" nilai XÌ… = 3,00. Dengan demikian, MODIKAR PEKASI dalam mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai karakter melalui pengajaran mata kuliah teori kejuruan di FT UNY, secara teoritis dapat dipahami dan digunakan secara praktis dan efektif.
