<![CDATA[ABSTRACT: Currently the cultural change has been characterized by the use of the internet isincreasingly global. Internet as an information giver existence has now become a necessity. Theperceived benefits of the internet is big enough, especially in the world of business, entertainment andeducation. Junior High School 2 Kartasura is one of the educational institutions that do not have awebsite and in the delivery of the information provided is as simple as using the bulletin board.Submission of this information was perceived still has many shortcomings, including limitedinformation delivery. For that, need a website created profiles that can facilitate the students, teachers,academic staff, parents and the community in seeking information about Junior High School 2Kartasura. The research conducted in order to reach the target and more focused, the authors limit thesubject matter that is making a website to raise the profile of the school in Junior High School 2Kartasura. This study aims to produce a website about pofil Junior High School 2 Kartasura. Theauthors use research methods are: observation, interviews, literature, analysis, design, manufacture,testing and implementation. Internet sebagai penyampai informasi keberadaannya kini sudah menjadikebutuhan. Manfaat internet cukup besar dirasakan terutama dalam dunia bisnis, hiburan danpendidikan. Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 2 Kartasura adalah salah satu instansi pendidikanyang belum memiliki website dan dalam penyampaian informasi yang diberikan masih secarasederhana yaitu dengan menggunakan papan pengumuman. Penyampaian informasi yang demikiandirasakan masih banyak memiliki kekurangan, antara lain penyampaian informasi yang terbatas.Untuk itu, perlu dibuatkan website profil yang dapat memudahkan siswa, guru, staf akademik, orangtua dan masyarakat dalam mencari informasi tentang Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 2Kartasura. Agar penelitian yang dilakukan ini dapat mencapai sasaran dan lebih terfokus, makapenulis membatasi masalah dengan pokok bahasan yaitu pembuatan website untuk mengemukakanprofil sekolah di Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 2 Kartasura. Penelitian ini bertujuan untukmenghasilkan website tentang pofil Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 2 Kartasura. Metodepenelitian yang penulis pergunakan adalah: observasi, wawancara, kepustakaan, analisis,perancangan, pembuatan, uji coba dan implementasi.Dengan adanya website profil di Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 2 Kartasura ini akanmemberikan kemudahan kepada masyarakat dalam mencari informasi khususnya mengenai profilsekolah di Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 2 Kartasura.Kata Kunci : Website profil, Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 2 Kartasura]]>
