The research method of this research was classroom action research. It consisted of 4 steps, such as (1) planning, (2) acting, (3) observing, (4) reflecting; and it was implemented through 3 cycles. The data of the research were obtained through observation and test, in which by using guidance observation sheet, the students’ activity and teacher’s performance were analyzed using qualitative analysis technique. Meanwhile, the test questions were used to measure the students’ result which was analyzed through quantitative analysis technique.Kata kunci: cooperative learning, rotating trio exchange, IPS
