The purpose of the study was to improve learning outcomes through contextual learning in the subject of Building Construction class X Construction and Property Business (BKP) at SMK Negeri 3 Palu. Classroom Action Research consists of two cycles, each cycle consists of four stages, namely planning, implementing actions, observing, and reflecting. The research subjects were students of class X Construction and Property Business (BKP) at SMK Negeri 3 Palu. The results showed that the application of contextual learning can improve student learning outcomes in the subject of Building Construction class X Construction and Property Business (BKP) at SMK Negeri 3 Palu. The increase in learning outcomes in the initial activity was 38.24% completeness to 85.29% completeness in the second cycle. The way to overcome the obstacles of implementing contextual learning to improve student learning outcomes in the subject of Building Construction class X Construction and Property Business (BKP) at SMK Negeri 3 Palu is that teachers must be skilled in applying contextual learning, namely reviewing concepts and basic competencies, understanding students' backgrounds, designing learning by linking the concepts or theories learned by considering the experiences students have in their environment, carrying out teaching and always encouraging students to relate what is being learned with the knowledge they already have, assessing student understanding.
