Penerapan Konsep Reengineering Untuk Mengidentifikasi Kebutuhan Teknologi Informasi (Studi Kasus: Progam Studi Teknik Energi di Politeknik Negeri)

Abstract

To maintaining the sustainability of its activities, the Polytechnic should take steps of reengineering. This research intends to interpret the use of information technology (IT) as enabler steps. The method used of this research is a case studiy of PS.Education Energy Engineering at the Polytechnic. The research methodology was adopted from a combination of several concepts and arguments to the researchers / professionals. The study conducted by literature study that begins with recognizing the power of IT and be able to find the academic requirements for conformance to the problem can be solved by such capabilities. After assessing their performance, the framework concludes with an action plan. Research conclusions are several technologies that can provide high added value to the academic core Polytechnic Education. Keywords: IT as an enabler of change; Reengineering; Academic core. Abstrak Demi menjaga keberlanjutan kegiatannya, Politeknik selayaknya mengambil langkah reengineering. Riset ini bermaksud menafsirkan pemanfaatan teknologi informasi (TI) sebagai enabler langkah tersebut. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi kasus terhadap PS. Teknik Energi di Pendidikan Politeknik. Metodologi penelitian diadopsi dari kombinasi beberapa konsep dan argumen para peneliti/profesional. Kajian dilakukan melalui studi literatur yang dimulai dengan mengenali daya mampu TI dan menemukan kesesuaiannya terhadap masalah kebutuhan akademik yang dapat dipecahkan oleh kemampuan tersebut. Setelah menilai performanya, framework diakhiri dengan sebuah rencana aksi. Kesimpulan penelitian adalah beberapa teknologi yang mampu memberikan nilai tambah tinggi terhadap akademik core Pendidikan Politeknik.
